Fox News hosts brutally mock embattled Kristi Noem after she cancels network interview
08 May 2024
South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem's new book, "No Going Back: The Truth on What's Wrong With Politics and How We Move America Forward" was reportedly designed to increase her chances of being chosen as presumptive 2024 GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump's running mate. Instead, it has brought her an abundance of negative publicity.
Noem has drawn widespread criticism — even among fellow Republicans — in response to an anecdote in the book in which she describes taking a puppy to a gravel pit on a farm and fatally shooting it.
On top of that, the Dakota Scout reported that Noem's description, in the book, of meeting North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un is very much "in dispute."

Fox News' Greg Gutfeld, with the help of his colleague Dana Perino, brutally mocked Noem after she canceled an interview.
During the Tuesday, May 7 segment, Gutfeld and Perino went for political parody — and Perino humorously portrayed Noem.
When Gutfeld asked, "Dana, a.k.a. Gov. Noem," if she wrote the book herself, Perino responded, "You know, that's a great question for someone who wrote the book. And I don't think I will dignify your question with a response. There are so many other important issues in the world, like animal cruelty."
Gutfeld and Perino lampooned Noem's evasive responses to questions during recent interviews.

Gutfeld asked Perino if she ever read her own book, to which Perino, portraying Noem, responded, "Thank you for reading my book. I said some words that were written about me, and they were in a certain order. They call them sentences. And so, I read those aloud. I don't know if that means I read the book."
Perino went on to say that "another one of my dogs, his name was Ghost Writer — and I killed him this morning."
