Globe reporter crossed ethics line

Boston Globe reporter Hiawatha Bray posted some less-than-objective commentary on blogs before the election. Aside from the fact that much of what he said was just plain wrong, his NY Times' ethics handbook states that "Staff members... must do nothing that might raise questions about their professional neutrality or that of The Times. In particular, they may not campaign for, demonstrate for, or endorse candidates..." Or maybe comments to Kerry supporters like this one can be read differently: "So suck it up, you guys. You lost, and that means that you and your friends did something wrong." (Media Matters)
