Giuliani asks GA judge to require guilty co-defendants sit for interviews with defense team

Former Donald Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani asked Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee to require co-defendants who’ve entered guilty pleas “be made available for interviews” with his counsel “for the purpose of discovery," according to a motion filed Monday with the Fulton County Superior Court.

The Messenger posted a full text of the motion from Giuliani’s lawyers, which named Jenna Ellis, Kenneth Chesebro, Sidney Powell and Scott Hall as co-defendants his team wants to interview. Those co-defendants have all pleaded guilty as part of Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis’ sprawling conspiracy case against the former president and 18 co-defendants.

The Messenger reports:

In a four-page motion, Giuliani's attorneys argued they "will be unable to properly investigate the facts of this case" unless ... McAfee issues an order requiring the former co-defendants to be made available for interviews.

As a condition of their plea agreements, the four former co-defendants are prohibited from communicating with current defendants about facts of the case, but must cooperate with prosecutors in pre-trial matters.
