Trump just delivered a 'massive vote of no confidence' to Tulsi Gabbard

With the conflict between Israel and Iran escalating, President Donald Trump returned to the United States from a diplomatic trip to Canada to deal with the worsening crisis. And according to CNN's Ben Pershing, he is expressing a lack of faith in Intel Secretary Tulsi Gabbard's ability to deal with it.

Specifically, Trump, according to Pershing, was dismissive of Gabbard's thoughts on Iran's nuclear potential.

In a Tuesday morning, June 17 post on X, formerly Twitter, Pershing wrote, "Trump disputes intel chief Tulsi Gabbard on Iran's nuclear capabilities: 'I don't care what she said.'"

Podcast host Kirk A. Bado, responding to Pershing's tweet, wrote, "Buried underneath all the news today is this massive vote of no confidence in DNI Gabbard."

CNN's Kaitlin Collins reported, "Gabbard testified in March that the intelligence community 'continues to assess Iran is not building a nuclear weapon and Supreme Leader Khamenei has not authorized a nuclear weapons program that he suspended in 2003.' As CNN recently reported, U.S. intelligence assessments had reached the conclusion that not only was Iran not actively pursuing a nuclear weapon, it was also up to three years away from being able to produce and deliver one to a target of its choosing, according to four people familiar with the assessment."

Collins added, "But Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is aligned with Trump and has argued repeatedly that Iran was on the verge of having a nuclear weapon."
