Footage from Body Cam Proves Cops Were Lying About Beating Citizen - But Police Still Won't Be Charged

Ephraim Casado was pulled over for littering in 2017. His lawyer says Miami-Dade authorities committed assault after Casado exited his vehicle with hands raised.

Casado is now suing. 

Body camera footage supports the charge of assault, but  "officers will face no criminal charges and no disciplinary action by their department" and criminal charges were dropped.

“Immediately after he’s pulled over, they yanked him out and threw him in the back of his own car,” attorney Igor Hernandez said. “And then they proceed to punch him in the face several times.”

“It was clear to us that they did what they did because they thought they could get away with it,” Hernandez continued. “They beat him because they could. They lied about it because they could, and then their whole take on it was, ‘What are you gonna do about it?'”

Police got their answer in the form of a lawsuit.
