Attorneys representing survivors of convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein's abuse have said that, despite public commitments by President Donald Trump and the Department of Justice (DoJ) to thoroughly investigate Epstein's crimes, they have not been contacted by federal authorities in recent months.
A Guardian report published Sunday noted that nine attorneys, who together represent about 50 survivors, report receiving no recent contact from federal authorities.
Gloria Allred, who represents 27 survivors, told the Guardian: “There has still been no outreach from the DoJ or members of Congress to me seeking to interview my clients.”

Lisa Bloom, the attorney for 11 survivors, was quoted in the report as saying: “No, haven’t heard anything. As usual the survivors are being ignored in the political battle.”
Spencer Kuvin, who is the chief legal officer at Goldlaw, reiterated the point: “We have heard nothing from the DoJ or the house subcommittee regarding request to speak with either the attorneys for the victims or the victims. I have repeatedly advised that I am willing to volunteer to provide testimony at their request. The victims have been ignored in this entire process.”
This comes even as the House Oversight Committee has issued subpoenas and met with some survivors — actions that resulted in the release of some documents from the DOJ, although few revealed new information.
Kuvin further said he event sent a letter to the committee chair offering to speak with them about the original investigation, but it was ignored.

"It is appalling that the federal government is again failing to keep the victims at the center of this investigation. Instead, it appears that all the government is interested in is attempting to whitewash the prior investigation," he added.
Jennifer Freeman of Marsh Law Firm, representing survivor Maria Farmer in a suit against the government, condemned the DOJ’s apparent disregard. “It is atrocious that the DoJ ignored or dismissed the survivors of Epstein and Maxwell for decades...,” she told the Guardian.
Freeman further criticized the department’s handling of routine transparency. “Not only has the DoJ refused to engage survivors, but they obstructed routine and valid requests for information. In January 2025 ... the government informed us that they would respond by November 2027 – nearly three years later. That’s abysmal and completely unacceptable.”
Attorney Jack Scarola recalled that his “last contact with the DoJ was during the Maxwell trial while I was representing Carolyn Andriano ... Andriano died of a drug overdose in May 2023.”

One other lawyer confirmed what others have said: “Not a word from the DoJ.”
