Legal experts mock Republican activist for asking the Supreme Court to 'overturn' Trump's Facebook ban

On Wednesday, May 5, former President Donald Trump and his supporters suffered a major disappointment when Facebook announced that the suspension of his account would continue. One of those sycophants is GOP activist and Turning Point USA co-founder Charlie Kirk, who tweeted that the U.S. Supreme should "overturn" Facebook's decision and is being mocked unmercifully for it.

Trump was suspended from both Facebook and Twitter following the January 6 assault on the U.S. Capitol Building by violent far-right extremists, including members of QAnon, the Proud Boys and the Oath Keepers. Both social media outlets suspended Trump for promoting violence and pushing false claims about the 2020 presidential election, saying that he was violating their terms of service. The suspension of Trump's Twitter account also remains.

Legal expert Mike Dunford slammed Kirk's tweet as "the single dumbest 'legal take' of all time," and Dunford is hardly the only one who is calling Kirk out.
