'Mayhem bound to rain down' as 'perfect storm' manifests in Nov. — here are the '5 conditions for chaos'

Longtime Republican Mesa, Arizona Mayor John Giles declared during last month's Democratic National Convention that Donald Trump and his supporters "will throw everything at the wall and see what sticks" if he loses to Vice President Kamala Harris.

The Guardian reported last week that election experts warn the former president "and election denialist allies" have made it their mission to spread "conspiracy theories about election fraud in order to lay the groundwork for charging the election was rigged if Trump loses."

In addition to these warnings, Axios on Monday published a report emphasizing that "mayhem is bound to rain down in November," as a result of the "perfect storm has been brewing for years now — fueled by extreme polarization, election denial, political violence, historic prosecutions and rampant disinformation."

The news outlet lays out "5 conditions for chaos" expected to unfold ahead of and after the election.

First, "A desperate Donald Trump," who over the weekend on social media slammed alleged 2020 election "'rampant Cheating and Skullduggery" vowing to issue "long term prison sentences" for "unscrupulous behavior" this time around.

Second, Axios predicts "a nail-biter like no other," noting that the race is expected to be be "extraordinarily close — and will come down to tens of thousands of votes in just seven battleground states."

Third, a "battleground legal brawl" is almost certain to ensue as Center for Election Innovation and Research Executive Director David Becker told the news outlet, "Experts are especially anxious about the potential intimidation of election workers forced to count ballots under tense conditions."

Fourth, there's "the specter of violence" in a similar vein as the violent January 6, 2021 attack on the US Capitol that Trump influenced following his loss to President Joe Biden.

Finally, "a cesspool of disinformation" is anticipated from right-wing networks like Fox News, considering the multiple lawsuits it was hit with following the hundreds of election lies pundits like former host Tucker Carlson spread during the 2020 election cycle.
