President Donald Trump appears to be a unifying force in the upcoming Canada elections as Canadian voters rally against the United States president, CNN reports.
Canada on Monday will “decide whether Prime Minister Mark Carney's Liberal Party maintains the reins or whether the Conservatives return to power for the first time in nearly a decade,” Axios reports.
And, according to CNN, "there's a powerful outside factor in Canada's upcoming election: President Trump's tariffs and his threat of making Canada the 51st state.”

Indeed, as CNN’s John King reports, even Canada’s conservatives are embracing the possibility of working with a liberal government.
“The bottom line is the liberals and the conservatives have got to work together here,” Canadian farmer Peter Hamilton told King. “They can't be nitpicking and arguing amongst each other. We have to work together to make this country go ahead.”
“There is no ‘friends’ no more,” Hamilton added. “The biggest thing in Canada is: We have friends all over the world. How many friends does Americans have right now?”
Environmentalist Toby Gorman likewise said his allegiance is first and foremost to Canada.
"I put up a flag myself," Gorman said. "I never thought I would put up a Canadian flag, but I think when it comes down to crunch time, Canadians really gather up."
