Early Tuesday morning, July 22, U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi and Deputy U.S. Attorney General Todd Blanche announced that the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) is seeking a meeting with former Jeffrey Epstein associate Ghislaine Maxwell (who is serving time in prison).
In an official statement, Blanche said, "President Trump has told us to release all credible evidence. If Ghislane Maxwell has information about anyone who has committed crimes against victims, the FBI and the DOJ will hear what she has to say."
Blanche tweeted, "At @AGPamBondi ’s direction, I’ve contacted her counsel. I intend to meet with her soon. No one is above the law — and no lead is off-limits."

Blanche's announcement and the ongoing Epstein controversy are receiving a lot of attention on X, formerly Twitter.
Neera Tanden posted, "DOJ published the July 6th memo on Epstein saying there was nothing to see here without talking to Maxwell, by their own admission here. Really thorough investigation there!"
X user Frank Helman tweeted, "Todd Blanche, you are a pathological liar, just like the rest of them, even though you're supposed to, as a lawyer, with the exception of covering a case as counsel, perhaps, should be honest in public about our government and try to make a better country for all ordinary Americans."
Activist Trisha Hope wrote, "Shouldn't this have been done on day 2? Instead we had to pressure for information why?"
