Watch: Alex Jones without evidence says Democrats are 'cornered rats' plotting to steal midterms

Disgraced and bankrupt right-wing conspiracy theorist Alex Jones appeared on Saturday's edition of War Room: Pandemic and accused Democrats of being "cornered rats" who are desperately scheming to steal the November midterm elections from Republicans.

Jones shared his prediction with Real America's Voice host Steve Bannon, who was sentenced to four months in prison on Friday after being convicted in July of two contempt of Congress counts for refusing to testify before the House Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the United States Capitol a year ago. The unusually harsh sentence, which also had a $6,500 fine attached to it, was stayed pending Bannon's appeal.

"Alex, give us two minutes right now before we go to break on where do you think – we understand you're under amazing, incredible pressure, amazing effort to shut you down – where do you think we stand now with two and a half weeks to go? Because one of the reasons they're coming so hard at you and everybody else is they're in full panic mode," proclaimed Bannon. "So where do you think we stand as we run up for two weeks, a couple of weeks to November 8th?"

Jones, ensnared in a legal spiderweb of his own making, was ordered earlier this month to pay $965,000,000 to the families of victims of the 2012 massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown Connecticut following a lengthy civil defamation trial. Jones was also an active participant in former President Donald Trump's failed January 6th coup. But he nonetheless deflected baseless allegations of impending seditious behavior onto Democrats.

"Well quite frankly I think the even bigger news than their giant announcement that they want two-plus-trillion dollars was you getting four months when dozens and dozens of Democrats and Republicans have been held in contempt. You testified all those other times and the point you made about, 'listen, I've been judged by this judge, that's fine, now coming up in just a few weeks, the people will judge this regime.' And you're right," Jones said.

"They are in full, complete panic mode and all the numbers show a gigantic landslide that not even their election fraud is going to be able to stop. My concern is, what will they pull? A power outage? Blame it on a cyber attack? I don't know. But definitely, they're cornered rats," he added. "They've shown they're willing to do anything, and so we all need to be really focused, fully engaged, and documenting everything."
