Fox News contributor gets set straight after he says mainstream outlets are 'far behind' on Cuomo scandals
Anyone who reads the New York Times knows how much New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo has been in the hot seat lately, over the COVID-19/nursing homes scandal, alleged attempts to bully lawmakers, and the sexual misconduct allegations of former aide Charlotte Bennett. But when Jason Chaffetz made a Fox News appearance on Monday, the former Republican congressman turned far-right pundit claimed that the Times was showing its liberal bias by going easy on the New York governor — and Chaffetz looked ridiculous when a colleague pointed out how much Cuomo-related reporting the Times has done.
"We'll see what the media does," Chaffetz told a panel that also included Gillian Turner and Lisa Kennedy Montgomery. "They've been very tepid in doing this. Only the New York Post and a handful of others have actually covered this with the seriousness that it takes. The New York Times and other big media outlets have been far behind."

That's when Turner set Chaffetz straight, telling the former Utah congressman, "But the Times broke the most recent story about the victim Charlotte Bennett, the second woman. They broke that story. We wouldn't even be talking about it if it wasn't for the New York Times reporting."
