She's not even ten, and already speaking truth to power.

At a recent McDonald's shareholder meeting, a nine-year-old girl named Hannah challenged McDonald's CEO Donald Thompson on why the fast food chain targets kids to eat their crap. She kept it real (and sweet!), prompting even Thompson to at least try to acknowledge her concern (while at the same time acting like Mickey D's is totally a healthy choice).

"My mom has taught me that there are things in life that aren't fair, like when your pet dies or you have to miss a special event because you have a cold," her epic speech began, "Something that I don't think is fair when big companies try to trick kids into eating food that isn't good for them by using toys and cartoon characters."

"It isnt fair that there are so many kids my age and younger that are getting really sick with diseases like diabetes and obesity. That is really sad," she continued, "It would be nice if you stopped trying to trick kids into eating your food all the time......Don't you want kids to be healthy so they can live a long and happy life?"

"We don't sell junk food, Hannah," said Thompson, "My kids also eat McDonald's." Then he said, "We sell a lot of fruits and veggies," mentioned apples and fat-free milk in happy meals, and something about kiwi on a stick.
