In recent days, Democratic Speaker of the House Nancy Pelsoi has suggested that if Donald Trump has any proof that he’s innocent of extortion and bribery, he should feel free to testify at the House impeachment inquiry. On Monday morning, Trump pretended he would “strongly consider” doing just that. Well, in writing:

File this one under “when pigs fly.” Not that Trump would ever hesitate to lie to the people investigating his crimes, but he has to be aware that Americans are paying close attention to the impeachment inquiry. And they don’t like what they’ve heard.
