Trump’s morning tweet rant reveals how worried he is about re-election chances

President Donald Trump started the morning with a series of tweets complaining about Democrats and immigration, and then tipped his political hand.
The president kicked off the tweet storm by claiming “Democrats now realize that there is a National Emergency at the Border,” and begged for their support on his immigration policies.
“If we work together, it can be immediately fixed,” Trump tweeted. “We need Democrat votes and all will be well!”
He claimed Border Patrol was apprehending record numbers at the border, and said numerous “bad ‘hombres'” were being detained and sent back to their home countries.
“Those which we release under the ridiculous Catch & Telease loophole,” Trump tweeted, misspelling release, “are being registered and will be removed later!”
“All people that are illegally coming into the United States now will be removed from our Country at a later date as we build up our removal forces and as the laws are changed,” he continued. “Please do not make yourselves too comfortable, you will be leaving soon!”
He then tweeted out an admission that he’s worried about his re-election chances, with multiple polls showing that he would lose head-to-head matchups with Joe Biden and several other Democrats.
“Will the Democrats give our Country a badly needed immigration win before the election?” Trump tweeted. “Good chance!”
