Sarah Huckabee Sanders warns that House Democrats are playing a ‘dangerous game’ by investigating White House security clearances
Tricia Newbold, a White House Personnel Security Office employee, is alleging that the Trump White House overruled decisions on 25 security clearances that had been previously denied—a matter that Rep. Elijah Cummings, chairman of the House Oversight Committee, is determined to investigate. And White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders is firing back, warning that House Democrats are playing a “dangerous game.”
House Democrats have threatened to issue subpoenas to White House Senior Aide Jared Kushner (President Donald Trump’s son-in-law) and others as part of their investigations. Cummings recently sent a letter to White House Counsel Pat Cipollone advising him that the House Oversight Committee plans to begin issuing subpoenas on Tuesday, and Carl Kline (a former White House Official) will be receiving one.
On Tuesday, Sanders denounced Democrats as “sore losers” who are refusing to accept the results of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s final report on the Russia investigation.

Appearing on Fox News on Tuesday, Sanders (daughter of former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee) asserted, “Unlike Democrats, we want to protect people’s personal confidential information. Let’s not forget: three million Americans have security clearances that worked for the government, and by exploiting one, you’re exploiting all of their personal information. And I think Democrats know that, and I think what they are doing is dangerous—and I think what they are doing is sad and shameful.”
Sanders also said Democrats are “sore losers” and need to move on from the Mueller report (which has yet to be released)— West Wing Reports (@West Wing Reports) 1554220457.0
