Donald Trump’s daughter-in-law is facing a backlash for comments she recently made about German history.
Lara Trump told Fox Business host Stuart Varney on Thursday that allowing refugees into the country was “the downfall of Germany.” She added, “It was one of the worst things that ever happened to Germany.”
“This president knows that. He’s trying to prevent it from happening,” Trump continued.
