White House 'Deliberately Set Up Jim Acosta' for Trump's Newest Attack on CNN: Democratic Lawmaker
The Right Wing

Democratic congressman Gerry Connolly told TMZ that CNN reporter Jim Acosta was “set up” by President Trump. Acosta’s press credentials were taken yesterday by the White House.

“I would not argue that he’s going to have a better relationship with reporters, given the fact that he pulled Jim Acosta’s White House press credentials yesterday in kind of a staged setup,” said Connolly in a man-on-the-street interview.

“It was kind of a disgusting scene,” the congressman continued. “It raises very worrying questions about any respect he has at all for the free press and the role of a free press in a democratic society.”

Connolly reiterated that he believed the White House had “an intern deliberately set up Jim Acosta."
