Democrats Are Now Projected to Take Back the House - And the Power to Investigate President Trump: NBC News

In the last 24 years, Democrats have only controlled the House of Representatives for four years. Now, Democrats are in control once again.
NBC News is projecting that the Democratic Party will gain at least the 23 seats that it needs to take back the House of Representatives.
Congressional Black Caucus members have said that they might challenge Majority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) but Rep. Steny Hoyer (D-MD), who typically challenges Pelosi, said he will not run for Speaker.
Democrats had hoped for a big, blue wave and the night didn’t result in that, but it did give Democrats enough wins to take back some power.
President Donald Trump and the White House is convinced that Democrats will usher in a series of investigations that could bring down the White House. However, Democrats have said they firmly intend to govern, developing legislation about health care and a tax cut for working families instead of the uber-rich and corporations.
