This Hilarious Ad Wants to Remind You Everyone Hates Ted Cruz

Despite the success Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) has had in politics, there's a simple fact about him as a candidate that no one seems to deny. Of all modern American politicians, few attract the same level of deep hated that Cruz inspires.

Even many of his fellow Republicans and political allies share in this negative appraisal.

A recent political ad — actually, a video posted on a YouTube channel that claims not to be affiliated with any campaign — makes this point as clearly and succinctly as anyone has.

It uses clips of figures who are strongly aligned with Cruz's agenda — including President Donald Trump, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and Ann Coulter — to show that distaste for Cruz is nonpartisan.

"I'm beginning to understand why Ted Cruz has been hated by everyone every place he's ever been from kindergarten to the United States Senate," said Coulter.

Graham, in a now-famous quote, said: "If you killed Ted Cruz on the floor of the Senate, and the trial was in the Senate, nobody would convict you."

And Trump said: "Nobody likes him anywhere, once they get to know him."

But even these quotes don't encompass the wide range of disparaging remarks Republicans have made about Cruz. Former House Speaker John Boehner once called him "Lucifer in the flesh."
