'Terrified Old Man': Republican Analyst Rick Wilson Excoriates Trump After His Bumbling Fox News Interview

Republican consultant Rick Wilson offered a sharp critique of President Donald Trump's morning Fox News interview during a Thursday appearance on MSNBC with host Ali Velshi.
“The best I’ll give him, Ali, is a participation trophy,” Wilson stated. “Donald Trump is a great self-promoter but there is a level of self-delusion from this guy that defies comedy.”
Wilson also questioned the president's mental stability.
“Yes, the folks that support him think he can do no wrong, but the rest of America is worried that this is a guy who is not terribly stable," he said.
Wilson continued by referencing Trump's advanced age.
“Waking up in the middle of the night to tweet in all caps is not a sign of confident leadership — it’s a sign of a terrified old man who feels the walls closing in," Wilson said. "He’s basically a bluffer and he’ll try to double down on this “I’m perfect and the rest of you are lying’ theory in regards to the cases.”
