ER Actor Vanessa Marquez Reportedly Shot and Killed by Police After Brandishing BB Gun

Vanessa Marquez, 49, reportedly died of her injuries after she pulled a BB gun on officers who arrived at her home to perform a welfare check and was shot by police.

Police say they spent 90 minutes at her home with a mental health professional and that she was "extremely uncooperative."

An officer shot her after she reportedly pointed a weapon that resembled a semi-automatic rifle at the group of officers. The gun was later found to be a replica.

Marquez was reported to have an eating disorder and be gravely disabled. Her landlord reported that the actress had been suffering from seizures.

An investigation has been opened into her death.
