'Laughable': Fox News' Shep Smith Mocks Trump for Government Shutdown Threats After Dissing His Own Breaking News Alert

Fox News host Shep Smith blasted President Donald Trump on Tuesday for his inconsistent threats to shut down the government if his demands aren't met after mocking his own network's breaking news announcement about Trump's travels.

"I don't know what's breaking about it," Smith said while laughing as live footage of Joint Base Andrews rolled. "But I guess the president is on the move."

Then Smith moved on to dismissing Trump's latest round of shutdown threats.

“President Trump sending mixed signals about whether he’ll shutdown the government if he doesn’t get funding for the border wall,”  Smith explained.

"As if shutting down the government is going to make America safe and prosperous," Smith said. “Laughable."
