Betsy DeVos' $40 Million Yacht Untied - Causes $10,000 in Damages

The Right Wing

U.S. Secretary of Education Betsy Devos' family yacht, worth a reported $40 million, was untied last weekend in Huron, Ohio and crashed into the dock. The incident caused up to $10,000 in damages.

The 163-foot vessel named SeaQuest came unmoored around 6 a.m. on Sunday. Officers have been searching for surveillance footage to identify who untied the yacht.

A reason for the yacht being docked in Huron is not immediately clear, but CBS notes that DeVos was in Ohio recently to tour a career center and correctional treatment program.

Betsy DeVos is the richest member of President Donald Trump's cabinet. The Devos family owns at least four planes, 10 boats and two helicopters.

According to her own disclosures, the DeVos family is worth more than $580 million across all of its assets.
