American Airlines and United Airlines Tell Government Not to Ship Children Separated from Parents on Their Planes

American Airlines is standing up for values and has issued a scathing statement saying they will immediately stop transporting children who have been separated from their parents along the Southern border and are being shipped to places like Michigan.

In the statement below, American Airlines says “The family separation process that has been widely publicized is not at all aligned with the values of American Airlines—we bring families together, not apart.”

The flight attendants of American Airlines seem to have been big drivers of this action by their corporate bosses. They say they were “sickened” having to take part in the this cruelty.

Read the full statement below and if you are a customer of American Airlines, please get their backs and let them know you appreciate their very public stance here. It is crucial for companies to stand up for American values.

(For more community discussion about the flight attendants and their actions, see this community diary from lao hong han.)

United Airlines joins in rejecting transporting these kids.
