Video Reveals Bill Gates Mocking Trump for Not Knowing the Difference Between HIV and HPV: Report

MSNBC's Chris Hayes posted a video Thursday afternoon reportedly showing Bill Gates, philanthropist and founder of Microsoft, mocking President Donald Trump for not knowing the difference between HIV and HPV.

In the video posted, which you can watch below, Gates does not say who precisely he is talking about. But Hayes reported that he is specifically talking about Trump, and indicated that there was "More tonight," suggesting there may be more footage providing the relevant context.

"He wanted to know if there was a difference between HIV and HPV," Gates says in the video. "So I was able to explain that those are rarely confused with each other." Gates is speaking at some sort of event in the video, and the audience bursts into laughter.

HIV is the virus that causes the disease known as AIDS. HPV refers to the human papillomavirus, which can cause genital warts and cancer.

In a follow-up tweet, Hayes said: "Bill Gates says that in *both* meetings he had with Trump, Trump asked if HPV and HIV were the same thing."
