Trump Thanks Kanye West for His Support as the Bizarre Pairing Baffles Everyone

President Donald Trump finally responded to Kanye West's support Wednesday as many observers still trying to figure out why the music mogul and occasional harsh critic of previous presidents has embraced the current occupant of the Oval Office.

"You don't have to agree with trump but the mob can't make me not love him," West said in a tweet Wednesday afternoon. "We are both dragon energy. He is my brother. I love everyone. I don't agree with everything anyone does. That's what makes us individuals. And we have the right to independent thought."

In response, Trump tweeted: "Thank you Kanye, very cool!"

The tweet immediately garnered widespread attention, with many observers perplexed that the man who once said "George Bush doesn't care about black people" would use such kind words about a president most Americans believe is racist.

But many just pointed out the absurdity of it all.
