Fox News Guest on Kanye West and Trump: They Don't Understand the 'Problems that Regular Americans Face'

As conservative media continues to fawn over the idea that Kanye West, one of the prominent black celebrities in the world, has come out as a supporter of President Donald Trump, one commentator on Fox News pointed out that there's really not all that much unexpected about the turn of events.

"It's not surprising to me that Kanye would be down with Donald Trump," said Joel Payne, a Democratic strategist. "I don't think that should be surprising to anybody."

He explained: "You've got one rich, famous millionaire supporting another rich, famous millionaire. Neither of them understand the problems that regular Americans face."

West experienced a backlash this week when he called Trump his "brother," said he loved the president, and said they share "dragon energy." Trump retweeted West's remarks, saying, "Very cool!"
