CNN's Jake Tapper Rattles Off the History of Trump's Associates Allegedly Threatening People
CNN's Jake Tapper on Wednesday ran through the troubling history of allegations that President Donald Trump's allies have threatened people or attempted to scare them to keep quiet about potentially damaging information.
The segment comes the day after Stephanie Clifford, also known as porn actress and director Stormy Daniels, released an artist's rendering of a man she says threatened her to stay silent about the affair she says she had with Trump back in 2006.
To evaluated these claims, Tapper said, we must not only consider whether Clifford and her attorney are credible. We also have to consider whether this behavior — hiring somebody to make threats on his behalf — makes sense with what we know about Trump's history.
And as Tapper shows, there is a long history of people allegedly making similar threats on Trump's behalf:Â
The allegation that Stormy Daniels was threatened is a strong one, and one should not only weigh whether you believe her, but whether Trump and those around him have been accused of similar behavior before.
