Wray and Rosenstein met with Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA) and Sen. Richard Burr (R-NC) at the Hart Senate Office Building in Washington, D.C. The meeting comes after the top law enforcements officials met earlier Wednesday with Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), the ranking member of the House Intelligence Committee.
Last week, Wray and Rosenstein were seen leaving a meeting with Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI), ostensibly called to discuss subpoena requests by House intel chairman Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA). Ryan reportedly sided with Nunes over Wray and Rosenstein, handing a win to the embattled committee chairman, whose been conducting his own shadow investigation of the infamous Trump-Russia dossier.
As of now, it’s unclear what the meeting between Wray, Rosenstein and Senate intel leaders was about.
