Stephen Colbert Delivers the Jeanine Pirro Takedown to End All Jeanine Pirro Takedowns

CBS "Late Show" host Stephen Colbert delivered a hilarious take on extremist Fox News host Jeanine Pirro for the blatantly opportunistic way her torches-and-pitchforks routine operates.

Pirro made headlines this week for a frightening suggestion on her show that DOJ and FBI staffers should be incarcerated essentially for Pirro's perception that they are against President Donald Trump. This came on the heels of a New York Times report that Pirro is so insufferable, Trump recently walked out during a meeting where she wouldn't stop delivering a "screed."

“Judge Pirro has a need, a need for screed,” Colbert explained. “So, she kept up her attack on Mueller and the FBI on what can only be described as her television show.”

He played the clip where Pirro demands government officials be "taken out in handcuffs" for a "cleansing" of the DOJ and FBI, amid other statements of manufactured rage.

“And that’s my open!” Pirro concludes in the clip. “Tell me what you think on my Facebook page, Twitter and Instagram, #JudgeJeanine!”

Colbert used a bit of friendly hyperbole to highlight how ridiculous Pirro's schtick actually is.

“Mueller and his corrupt junta are maggots gorging on the corpse of Lady Liberty, and freedom-loving patriots must drink their blood from the chalice of justice,” he said. “And that’s my opening, join the conversation on Insta, with #PushMuellerIntoTraffic!”
