James Comey Just Taunted Trump on Twitter With a Very Fitting Bible Verse

Former FBI Director James Comey taunted President Donald Trump on Friday by quoting a Bible verse about the virtues of justice.

Shortly after former Trump National Security Adviser Michael Flynn pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI on Friday, Comey posted a tweet that quoted Amos 5:24, one version of which reads, “Let justice roll on like a river, righteousness like a never-failing stream!”

Comey, who was fired by Trump as FBI director this past May, subsequently testified in front of Congress that President Trump had asked him to “let go” over the agency’s investigation into Flynn. Comey also said that Trump had demanded an oath of loyalty to him.

By the time Trump asked Comey to drop its investigation into Flynn this past February, the FBI had already discovered that Flynn had lied to agents about a conversation he had with former Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak.
