Donald Trump Uses South Korean National Assembly Speech to Brag About His Golf Course
During a speech about the serious issue of North Korea, President Donald Trump bragged to the South Korean National Assembly about a golf course he owns.
As Trump complimented the country, he began a rambling discourse about the country's competitiveness in professional golf.
But the real reason for the tangent was an opportunity Trump saw to boast about his property.
“In fact—and you know what I’m going to say—the women’s U.S. Open was held this year at Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey,” Trump said to applause. “And it just happened to be won by a great Korean golfer, Park Sung-hyun, and eight of the top players were from Korea, and the top four golfers, one, two, three, four, the top four were from Korea.”
Trump wrapped up the bragging by saying, “So, congratulations."
Then he returned to insulting previous U.S. administrations and provoking North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.
