Samantha Bee Gives Trump's Transparently Corrupt Election Integrity Commission the 'Full Frontal' Treatment
Unable to repeal and replace Obamacare after six months in office, President Trump is moving forward with another major campaign promise.
One day after Senate Republicans' health care bill collapsed before it was even put to a vote, Trump "got to lurch out from behind an orgy of flags and solve our national epidemic of voter fraud," "Full Frontal" host Samantha Bee cracked Wednesday.Â
"It's about the concern of so many Americans that improper voting is taking place and canceling out the votes of lawful American citizens," President Trump announced from the podium.Â
Trump played no small part in fanning this paranoia, for months spouting a widely debunked conspiracy theory that Hillary Clinton's victory in the popular vote was illegitimate.Â
"It's shocking that so many dead people would vote for Hillary considering she probably killed them in the first place," quipped Bee.Â
But even Trump's new commission on election integrity isn't having much success proving his claims. The team, whose vice chairman is Kris Kobach, sent an introductory letter to all 50 secretaries of states requesting sensitive information about voters, including full name, address, date of birth, political affiliation, military and criminal record, and Social Security number.
"How did the secretaries of states respond to a letter saying 'dear sir or madam: you suck at your job, please dox all your voters?'" Bee asked rhetorically. "Oh, really well."
Forty-five secretaries of state refused to comply.
"Do you believe Hillary Clinton won the popular vote by three to five million votes?" MSNBC’s Katy Tur asked Kobach on Thursday.Â
"We will probably never know the answer to that question," he answered.
"Well, what's your commission gonna spend its time on?" Bee wants to know.Â
