John Oliver Issues Hilarious PSA on Sexual Harassment to Help Educate Bill O'Reilly and Donald Trump
John Oliver is as tired of talking about Donald Trump as you are. But as the "Last Week Tonight" painfully acknowledges, the 45th president of the United States is a living, breathing scandal.
Case in point: Donald Trump defended Bill O'Reilly after the New York Times revealed that he had settled as many as five sexual harassment suits for $13 million.
“Yes, Bill O’Reilly, who scientists hypothesize is kind of a dense nebula of boner and racism, has been paying out settlements for alleged harassment for years,” Oliver explained. “Details are pretty disturbing here, with the victims claiming things like verbal abuse, lewd comments, unwanted advances, and phone calls in which it sounded as if Mr. O’Reilly was masturbating.”
At least 60 companies have pulled advertising from O'Reilly's Fox News show in the wake of the revelations. But Oliver may have found a solution.
“Bill O’Reilly needs advertisers and Donald Trump needs to understand sexual harassment. And here is where we come in," Oliver announced. “We have produced an ad to educate Donald Trump to air during The O’Reilly Factor in New York and D.C. We submitted it to stations on Friday, but weirdly, we haven’t heard back from them since."
In case the ad is rejected, Oliver provided a sneak peek.
