'Morning Joe' Sets Fire to the 'Bannon Presidency'
On Thursday, the Trump administration unveiled its plan to dramatically cut the federal budget. That afternoon, Joe Scarborough responded with some slicing and dicing of his own:

"That's how you tweet, you use facts and you stick to the issues," co-host Mika Brzezinski noted Friday.
The panelists agreed.Â
"For all the self-described [Republican] budget hawks, this is not how you cut a budget," said co-anchor Willie Geist.Â
"There doesn't seem to be any empathy there, and there's no empathy in this budget,"Â chimed in Donny Deutsch. "And on top of idiocy, there's no soul in there. [This is] a president who only bets on the present day... I don't think this guy gives a damn what he leaves in his wake years from now... it's basically, 'boy, if I could just move numbers over, regardless of repercussions.'"Â
Brzezinski blamed the president's draconian proposal on senior adviser Steve Bannon.
"The weakness of this president may lie in the fact that he's allowing someone else to pull the strings here," she concluded. "I am stunned."
