'Morning Joe' Has Had It with Trump's Wiretapping Farce - and His Idiocy

The Trump administration missed its deadline Monday to provide evidence supporting the president's claim that President Obama wiretapped his phones in Trump Tower, and the cast of "Morning Joe" has had about enough of this charade.

"Does anybody here disagree with that tweet?" co-host Mika Brzezinski asked the panel Tuesday, which included MSNBC politcal analysts Mark Halperin, John Heilemann and Eugene Robinson.

All unanimously agreed, and Brzezinski went on to argue that Trump has a duty to call off Congress' senseless investigation.

"We're really having all these investigations. I mean, why can't, if the president was lying, don't you think at some point he ought to just say 'I apologize, I am just an idiot, I will not do that again'?" she asked. "Because it was idiotic. Does anyone not agree he wasn't completely idiotic and embarrassing?"

And Sean Spicer has only made matters worse. In his briefing Monday, the White House press secretary attempted to reframe Trump's tweet and suggested reporters direct all questions to the Justice Department.

"This is ridiculous, and people are saying 'ridiculous' with the look of alarm in their eyes when they describe this situation," Brzezinski added.
