'Morning Joe' Goes Off on Kellyanne Conway: Her Lust for Power Is 'Demented'
MSNBC's "Morning Joe" blacklisted White House counselor Kellyanne Conway nearly a month ago, but its panelists continue to call out the alternative facts she's pushing across the airwaves.
"I think, actually, it's important to look at this analytically because I think something important is happening, and it's happening possibly through her and Steve Bannon," explained co-host Brzezinski.
On Sunday, in an interview with the Bergen Record, the White House counselor expressed concern with phones, television sets and microwaves potentially being used for government surveillance on Trump Tower. On Monday morning, when asked to clarify her comments on "Good Morning America," she completely sidestepped the questions.
"You were asked about specifically, do you know whether the Trump Tower was wiretapped, and you answered by citing this report about CIA techniques revealed by WikiLeaks. Why would you make a suggestion like that without any evidence?" George Stephanopoulos asked Conway.
"I answered him about surveilling generally," Conway responded, admitting reluctantly she has "no evidence."
“That was awful," Brzezinski remarked. "The last time I saw her on television she said the president has access to information you all don’t, and therefore it might be true. Now she is saying our microwaves can look at us.”
“This is Kellyanne Conway talking about microwaves,” Brzezinski hammered, “and I think doing something extremely destructive and using everything she can to sort of boost her own power within this White House, which seems to have a demented twist... we all need to look at really seriously.”
