Trevor Noah Proposes Perfect Way to Stump Trump's Muslim Registry

With a Trump presidency fast approaching, who should be the most afraid?

"There is one group who we know has consistently been the focus of Trump's longing gaze," Trevor Noah, host of the "Daily Show" pointed out Thursday night, before playing a highlight reel of Donald Trump's incorrect statements and terrifying proposals in sit-down interviews and campaign rallies.

And while Trump's infamous Muslim man proposal mysteriously disappeared from Trump's website last week, it's now the hot topic of conversation again. Noah also explained that while Trump isn't the first administration to have such a registry (George W. Bush's included 24 Muslim countries and North Korea),"this database was abandoned in 2011 because it didn't help stop terrorists at all and it was widely criticized."

Now Trump and his surrogates are talking about bringing it back and citing the most atrocious parts of American history as "precedent" for the plan.

“When you think about what Trump has said about Muslims over the past two years, giving him a Muslim registry seems like a dangerous idea,” Noah said, adding, “You wouldn't’t give Jared [Fogle] a list of all the playgrounds.” Fogle, lest the name is not familiar, is the infamous Subway pitchman who has been convicted of pedophilia.

But when it comes to assembling the registry, Trump and his surrogates have no way of effectively identifying people they want on it, which gave Noah an idea, if and when Trump follows through with the plan.

“We need to stand in solidarity with Muslim people who are being targeted by Donald Trump,” Noah announced to the cheering studio audience. “If they start registering Muslims in America, we all register as Muslims.”
