Jon Stewart and Samantha Bee Figure Out Just Who to Blame for Trump's Win
Post-election, "Full Frontal" host Samantha Bee is hoping that the left can at least decide why they lost this one.Â
"Right now there's a lot of blame going on," Bee began. "Bernie supporters blaming Democrats for nominating Hillary, Hillary supporters blaming the Bernie campaign for damaging their candidate, the media blaming Hillary for blaming the media, but I think we all know whose fault it is."
"The Jews," she continued, before flashing to a photo of Jon Stewart and the TV Line headline: "If Jon Stewart Had Not Stepped Down From The Daily Show, Hillary Clinton Would Most Likely Be President."
"Damn you, Jon," Bee joked. "I should have thrown Gary Johnson off that f*cking wall when I had the chance," she added, reflecting on the Libertarian being a one-time guest on "Full Frontal" and her afternoon rock climbing date.Â
But with Thanksgiving fast approaching, the Clinton, Trump and third party voters may soon find themselves in close proximity.
"I want to wish everyone peace and comfort, whether or not your holiday involves drinking enough to cope with your dad's joy or hastily marrying whichever of your friends seems most likely to get deported or just binge-watching 93 hours of 'West Wing,' I hope you spend it in your happy place.." Bee said, cutting to a clip of comedian Jon Stewart in a "Full Frontal" sweatshirt perched outside her building with his own set of post-election therapy tools.
"It's over.. I'm coloring a turkey and it's over," Stewart sang off-key as he shaded in the shapes of a holiday-themed coloring book.Â
"I've really turned into quite an odd person," he added.Â
