Stephen Colbert Exposes Where Trump's Conspiracy Theories Come From

Donald Trump's poll numbers are tanking as Republicans reach their breaking point, and Donald Trump only has one explanation for it: a global media conspiracy set up to rig the election.

"Ever since the tape of Donald on the Billy Bush locker bus came out, Trump has been fending off attacks like a woman meeting Donald Trump," "Late Show" host Stephen Colbert opened Monday night.

Not coincidentally, Trump's remarks made on the 2005 Holllywood Access bus have led to multiple women to come forward with accusations against Trump, following its release. And even though Trump himself has corroborated at least some of these stories, he's now claiming that they're all "lies."

"It's a classic case of she said, he said, 'hell yea!'" remarked Colbert, after playing clips of Trump boasting to Howard Stern about being able to walk in on naked beauty queens because he owns the pageant.

But Trump has his own bizarre explanation for his campaign collapsing.

"The election is absolutely being rigged by the dishonest and distorted media pushing Hillary Clinton - but also at many polling places - SAD," Trump tweeted on October 16.

"He's right. From day one, the media has rigged this election in favor of Donald Trump. You cannot turn on the T.V. without seeing Trump; he's like the Geiko Gekko, but more cartoonish," Colbert said, adding that Trump has receivved "three billion dollars in free advertising" since launching his campaign.

Still, Trump continues to brand himself the victim.

“We’ve seen this firsthand in the WikiLeaks documents in which Hillary Clinton meets in secret with international banks to plot the destruction of U.S. sovereignty in order to enrich these global financial powers, her special interest friends and her donors,” Trump said at a campaign rally in West Palm Beach, Fla, last Thursday.

Colbert wondered after watching the clip, "How does this conspiracy work?" and ordered his staff to bring out a chalk board to help break it down.

"This supposed sex scandal can all be explained with a Venn Diagram. According to Donald Trump, the media is colluding with the  Clinton Machine, alright?" Colbert asked the audience, before arriving at a blatanly obvious conclusion:

"Oh my god, the plot to make [Trump] look like a sexual harasser is coming from inside Donald Trump's penis!"
