Clinton's New Ad Uses Trump's Own Misogyny Against Him

Election '16

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton frequently takes heat from her rival Donald Trump for playing the “women’s card” in her fight for the White House.

Trump himself has been known to play the misogynist card. In a brutal new ad out by the Clinton camp Friday, many of Trump's more, uh, distasteful comments are gloriously superimposed over scenes of young women looking at themselves in mirrors.

It’s a sad, pointed look at the man half the population of the United States thinks should be president. “I’d look at her right in that fat, ugly face of hers,” Donald Trump says of some anonymous woman, as a young girl stares at herself in the mirror.

“Is this the president we want for our daughters?” the ad asks.

Clinton will likely be accused yet again of playing the woman card. And you know what—good for her. Trump’s sexist, derogatory musings are fair game and he needs to own up to them. As if that will ever happen.
