Sarah Palin Wags Her Finger at Ted Cruz After Trump Snub: 'Delete Your Career'
It's always fun when the wingnuts fight each other, and even more so when Sarah Palin is involved.
The fleeting vice presidential candidate took to Breitbart to admonish Ted Cruz for declining to endorse Donald Trump in his RNC speech on Wednesday night, claiming that Cruz violated the pledge he signed saying he would endorse the GOP candidate. As Adele M. Stan noted in her convention coverage Wednesday night, "the only time he mentioned Donald Trump’s name was to congratulate him for having won the nomination."
This threw Palin in a tizzy, and in the "exclusive" note she called Cruz's actions "one of those career ending 'read my lips' moments," referring to George H.W. Bush's failed promise not to raise taxes. For those of you playing Sarah Palin Bingo at home, she did indeed fit in a dig at career politicians, noting that, "I guarantee American voters took notice and felt more unsettling confirmation as to why we don’t much like typical politicians because they campaign one way, but act out another way. That kind of political status quo has got to go because it got us into the mess we’re in with America’s bankrupt budgets and ramped up security threats.”
Palin endorsed Ted Cruz's longshot Senate bid back in 2012, which, as Breitbart was eager to point out, "was credited by Cruz himself as the reason why he won the race that launched his national political career." Perhaps she felt he was being ungrateful.
