WATCH: Wacky Pagan Bell Wearers Had a Parade Yesterday

The Bell Wearers' practices originated from ancient pagan rituals. At the end of winter, performers would traditionally dress in noisemaking costumes and celebrate the coming crops while attempting to ward off potential natural disasters. Groups from Greece, Bulgaria and Serbia gathered in Tessaloniki on Sunday. Participants took to the streets in boisterous parading with their wearable instruments.
