Santorum Drops Out - and Dan Savage Is Ready With a Hilarious X-Rated Joke

LGBT activist and apparent aspiring comedian Dan Savage took to Twitter to mock anti-gay GOP presidential candidate Rick Santorum, who will drop out of the race Wednesday.

Santorum is expected to announce he will drop out of the primary race on Wednesday, CNN’s John King reports. He finished nearly last in the Iowa caucuses on Monday.

Savage slammed him on Twitter.

Savage is known in popular culture as creating an internet joke in which he used Google’s search engine to conflate Santorum’s name with the byproduct of anal sex.

“”It’s still out there and it is an insanely dirty joke,” Savage said in 2012. “It is crude. It is vile, as are Santorum’s comments about gay people.”
