WATCH: New Poll Shows Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton Virtually Tied in Nevada
In a new CNN poll, Nevada voters were asked, "If the Democratic presidential caucus in Nevada were held today, please tell me which of the following people you would be most likely to support, Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders." Only 5 percent had no opinion.
The poll, which included voters likely to participate in both the Democratic and Republican presidential caucus, was based on interviews with more than 1,000 Nevadans conducted by telephone by ORC International from Feb. 10-15, 2016. According to the poll, "The margin of sampling error for results based on the total sample is plus or minus 3 percentage points."
Other areas in which the candidates nearly tied were "best able to handle the economy" (Clinton 48%, Sanders 47%) and "best represents the values of Democrats like yourself" (Clinton 50%, Sanders 49%).
The Nevada caucus is on February 20.
