WATCH: Colbert Shreds Sarah Palin's Trump Endorsement - Offers Up His Own Palinesque Plugs

Election '16

"There's no one on earth like Donald Trump," Stephen Colbert noted on last night's show. "Unless it's Sarah Palin."

Now Colbert and other comedians are set for material for the foreseeable future. "God, I have missed you," Colbert said lovingly to Palin's photo, then launched into a falsetto version of "Since You've Been Gone."

A quick review of the actual endorsement showed Palin employing some of her greatest hits: "Drill baby drill!" found its way into her speech. "Hopey, changey thing," who could forget that? "Say 'hockey mom,'" Colbert begged. "Lipstick on a pig!"

As an homage, Colbert decided to do his own version of Palinesque endorsements. "Wait, first let me tase the part of my brain that understands sentence structure," he said before launching on his own version of speaking in Palin tongues.
