Jeb!'s Latest Desperate Move

Election '16

It seems to have finally sunk in at Jeb!'s HQ that all the advertising in the world isn't doing jack for their flailing candidate. So whether you label it a "shakeup" or a "strategic adjustment" (as Jeb!’s camp did), his campaign is trading in ad money for more boots on the ground in the early voting states.

Bush's campaign announced Wednesday it would cancel a total of $3 million in previously reserved ad buys -- $1 million in Iowa and $2 million in South Carolina. The campaign also said it would dispatch 60 staffers from its headquarters in Miami to the early primary states, including 10 additional staffers in Iowa.

In New Hampshire, a state crucial to the presidential bids of both his father and brother before him, Bush's campaign is doubling full-time staff from 20 to 40.

Will this do the trick? Doubtful. More than likely, it's just another reshuffling of the deck en route to the iceberg.
