WATCH: The Daily Show Nails Ben Carson's Latest Insanity
As studiously documented on Saturday, Ben Carson's web of lies is quickly unraveling. He stabbed a guy, but his victim can't be found. He attended a Yale class that didn't exist. He was offered a scholarship to West Point that was never offered. The Daily Show, with an increasingly steady Trevor Noah, took note.
"So this is weird for me," Noah said. "The media is saying 'those rumors about you haveing a clean record and being an upstanding member of society are true', and Ben Carson is like 'Bullshit! I'm dangerous and I try to kill people and I'm a bad person who should be President."
The Daily Show host would save the worst bonehead moment for last: Carson's belief that the Egyptian pyramids were used to score grain and were not a tomb.
"And the truth is we don't really know for sure," Noah mocked. "It wasn't like the Egyptians wrote anything down. They just covered the pyramid walls with emojis." The Daily Show host then flashed a picture of Egyptian hieroglyphs. We know what the pyramids were used for because they told us. Carson, for his part, is still sticking with the grain silo theory. Got to appreciate his commitment.
