A Boston woman recorded her public confrontation with a man she said was filming her and underage girls without their consent in an effort to raise awareness over that kind of harassment,Cosmopolitan magazine reported.

“I could see him zooming in on [women’s] crotch areas,” Jase Dillan said of her encounter with the unidentified man. “He had the camera positioned low. He was zooming in on crotches. When they walked by, he would nonchalantly turn and zoom in on their asses.”

Dillan said she caught the man filming her as she approached her car on Thursday afternoon, at which point he “flipped around” and tried to hide his camera. Because he was parked near her, she said, she was able to look through the camera’s viewfinder by adjusting her side mirror. At that point she allegedly saw him videotaping two people she described as “very obviously” underage girls.

She then called police and asked for an officer to take a statement and look into the matter, Dillan said, but then decided to start following him. After tailing him for about five blocks, she pulled out her own camera and captured her demand that the man delete the footage he took of her.

“Am I making you uncomfortable?” she asks. “You don’t like being filmed without your permission?”

After initially denying the accusation and telling Dillan to “get the f*ck out of here,” the man asks, “Why do you think I would need your permission, first of all?” before stopping short as Dillan yells at him for wanting to argue about “legal semantics.” She later says that the man is wearing a wedding ring.

The video has been seen more than 1 million times since Dillan posted it on Facebook.

WFXT-TV reported that local police are not investigating the incident because the man was filming on a public street, which is not illegal.
